No problem to find ATMs in cities and places.

First Transport

Trains and buses from airport. No buses on borders.

Inland Transport

Very considerate, to the point of being annoying. Be very careful about speeding, everywhere. They are (eco)crazy, they love 30 km/h in villages and radars. Or 100-110 km/h on the highway because they say the cars are noisy. I don’t know what it is in tunnels, but they also have 110 there. There is no way to negotiate with the police. In addition, they like to check the noise of motorbikes.

Be careful with petrol on highways. Petrol stations are only every 50 km and petrol is there overpriced. But in almost every village is local petrol station with normal places.

People

Usually ok, but they smoke everywhere. I cannot consider their english, because I speak german.

I was negatively surprised how many imigrants they have in Graz and Vienna.

Accomodation

Use booking.com, many apartments but also hotels at very good level.

Shopping

Many shops for everything. No problem to pay with card anywhere.

Eating, drinking

Water is drinkable.

Food is at good level, but be careful to order salad to potatoes, because you get mixed salad including next potatoes in in vinegar sauce.
